Before you purchase curriculum for the next school year check out these homeschool curriculum reviews These homeschool reviews are written by real homeschooling moms, sharing their unbiased opinions. They are a great resource for anyone considering homeschooling or interested in changing curriculum.
Like you, I’ve wandered homeschool convention floors for hours looking at all the amazing products available to homeschoolers. I’ve also purchased homeschool curriculum only to realize a few months later that it didn’t work for my kids!
These homeschool curriculum reviews are a great place to start if you are buying new curriculum this year.
We’ve organized these reviews into four categories, preschool, elementary, middle, and high school. When you click on a link it will take you to a website with the curriculum review. Almost every review on this page was written by a homeschooling mom who actually used the curriculum with her kids.

Thank you for compiling all of these wonderful reviews…. it is so wonderful to get information about curriculum from trusted sources who give honest opinions!!
Shannon says
I wouldn’t say that all of these are “reviews” if it just links to the curriculum author’s blog. Thanks for compiling the list though! It’s nice to see what others are using and enjoying or not.
Trina says
That’s a great collection, Toni! Thanks for rounding it up!
Diane says
You have a great list here, but left off my favorite elementary math curriculum: Miquon math. Very hands-on, creative, great! Although, like Saxon, not complete by itself, but needs additional drill. On the plus side, it’s half the price of Saxon. You should look at it! My kids like it.
Lisa says
I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Heart of Dakota curriculum. We’ve just started using if for Kindergarten. So far, so good.
Tasha says
These are not all unbiased. Some of these websites are the developers of the products. However it is nice to see what is available and what not. Thanks for your time and efforts! you have a great site.

I have a ton of reviews that I have done on my website at http://www.homeschool-how-to.com/homeschool-curriculum-reviews.html You’re welcome to link to those too.
Purposeful Homemaking says
This was such a great idea. Thanks for pulling it together last year. Do you plan to do this again this year? If so, I’d love to jump in again! Thanks! Becky

I just wanted to mention that my daughter has been using The Trent Schools curriculum (theschools.com) for the past year or so and is about to complete grade 8 using their program. We’ve been very happy with the way in which the program is run and with our online academic advisor, whose services are included in their PLUS program. I highly recommend it!
Anne Singh says
Hi I’m just curious on how The Trent Schools worked for your daughter. I plan to enrol my daughter there but it is very difficult to look for reviews of their program.
Sunnie says

Karen says
Hello we are very interested in homeschooling our 8year old son. I loved your article on how to choose and how not to get overwhelmed. I clicked through the article to this page looking for reviews.
Because I am new to this, all of these listed are Christian based? Are most homeschool programs bible/Christian based?
This may sound like a silly question, but I am literally just starting the research phase currently…
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Faith says
Hey, everyone just thought i would list what my children use .
We are using Abecka Academy out of Pensacola Flo. it s a Christian based program with video teachers either on line streaming or dvd program . We Love the teachers interaction with the kids watching and the bible lessons are great . I feel very confident in the curriculum .

Good Morning;
We (How Great Thou ART Publications) have been creating award winning art programs for homeschoolers and Christian schools for the past 23 years. “A Classical Approach to Art History” has just been completed (Ages 7 and Up) and we would like to send you a sample of the first 3 parts (each a one yr. program): Intro to the Masters; Ancient Egypt, Greece & Rome; and The Renaissance & Reformation. Each comes with art lessons relevant to the artist or period being studied. Would you like us to send you a copy for your review?
Blessings.
Barry Stebbing
