I am so excited about the Conquer the Clutter challenge being hosted at my other blog this month. When we moved (and displaced all of our stuff) much of the junk rose to the surface and now sits in piles around my house waiting to be sorted, tossed, filed, passed on, put away, etc…
I have a few problem areas that I will be focusing on this month.
School Cubbies – For some reason this area is clutter central. As the school year goes on, these become the dumping ground for all things school. I hope to clean out the old stuff, organize the new stuff, and create a new system for the coming school year.
Top of my food cabinet- When we moved, everything small that didn’t have a home went on top of this cabinet. It is all still there…waiting…. and waiting…
The black hole – Actually we have made significant progress on the garage since my last garage post, but I want to wait until I am totally done for the big reveal. I promise you will be impressed!
My room – We painted my room last week and now I need to put it back together and throw out the things I don’t need. My closet could probably stand a little makeover as well.
My bedroom has been conquered, you can view the before and after pictures here. There are several other clutter areas I need to attack this month, but I think I have enough for now. I will update periodically on my progress. I hope to conquer a lot today since my brother and his family will be arriving tomorrow for a week long visit.

Wow, it isn’t even a new year for a resolution. that is an aggresive goal, good for you! I try to do the same, conquering clutter. Right now, I have my office that I can’t seem to wrap my mind around working on it. The garage is a nightmare but that is my husband’s territory! No touchy!

What really bits is we have to keep stuff until the kids are done w/school. When these kids graduate their stuff goes w/them.
