730/365 Clutter Challenge Update

by Toni Herrbach

This was a good month for me! I was finally able to get the boxes out of my basement and to Goodwill.

My totals for this month

  • 22 bottles
  • 1 puzzle
  • 1 waffle maker
  • 17 toys
  • 1 diaper bag
  • 66 pieces of clothing
  • 2 pairs of shoes
  • 1 game
  • 3 empty cardboard boxes
  • 2 containers of packing material
  • 1 broken umbrella
  • 1 broken broom
  • 1 broken weedwacker
  • 2 mice

Did you read the whole list? Did you happen to see the last item? Mice invaded our garage this winter, but we let them know they were not welcome. Yuck!!!!

March 730/365 total =

121

Total for 2010 = 148

April means spring cleaning at our house. Can I double my total?

I am going to have to remember to add a mouse to my list because we caught one in our basement … hopefully it didn’t have any relatives living with it.

Ick! We had mice invade our storage shed this winter. I absolutely despise those nasty things!

Yeah, icck on mouse. But I am amazed that you had a count of what you threw out. That would of have taken me 1 day to do just that. But I guess counting what you threw out is better than accumalating another pile to go, right? Just thinking of how it works for my procrastinating butt.

Ick about the mice. Great job on decluttering, though!

We are on the same wavelength…now that the taxes are done and I’m healthy again, I started decluttering this week, too. One drawer at a time…

I’ll be happy to join! Last month was a big fail for me. I’m not adding mice to my list because our cats are doing the work of getting rid of them. 🙂

Wow! Great job on your cluttering! 😀

Yikes! I’ve seen a mouse or two outside close to the house, but thankfully not inside.

We have mice that come into our storage shed, and sometimes into the garage. I buy “special food” just for them. It comes in a little yellow box shaped like a cheese wedge. 🙂 I’m about to begin a serious spring cleaning and house cleanout this week myself. The kids and I are taking the month of April off from school, so it’s that TIME again! Congrats on the big purge!
