Clean Home, Fresh Start

I am sure that you know by now how much I love my Motivated Moms Planner. This tool helps me keep my home clean and organized. But what if your house needs more than daily maintenance?

Every home has its “trouble” spots, including my own. Trouble spots are areas that need a thorough cleaning, decluttering, and organizing before they reach the maintenance phase.

During the month of April, please join me in my Clean Home, Fresh Start series. Starting Monday, April 5, I will post daily cleaning tips, projects, or encouragement, because I know that half the battle is getting started.

Although I am writing this for my blog, the person in biggest need of motivation is me! After moving seven times in six years, I am tired of decluttering and organizing.

I desire a home that welcomes visitors and is a safe place for my children to play. I crave order and simplicity, as it helps me stay focused and I am able to accomplish more throughout the day. Clutter and disorganization are stumbling blocks for me, are they for you?

I know I need a fresh start, how about you? Follow along on my blog, as well as my Facebook page and BlogFrog community as I work towards a clean home in April.

  1. Sounds great! Can’t wait to see what you have to say.

  2. That sounds W O N D E R F U L….I hope you have a whole section on hoarding or rather anti-hoarding OR how to deal with a hoarder. I know a hoarder and it’s srsly BAD!….I feel like i’m trying to slay a dragon with this!

  3. I AM SO IN!!!! 🙂

  4. I just found you from a retweet on twitter!
I definitely need organizing and de-cluttering tips as well as motivation. This sounds great!

  5. I just subscribed via email so I can keep up with this series. 🙂

  6. I’ll be joining you mid-way in, after we travel for Spring Break. The nicer weather sure helps when it comes to thinking about de-cluttering, doesn’t it? I have gradually been working on some nether regions of my home, corners that have been forgotten since we moved here (over) two years ago. It is time! Looking forward to more motivation.

  7. Oh — is that first photo really from your house?

  8. Yep! I’m excited to see what you do!

  9. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Motivated Moms planner!

  12. I will be following along for sure! My home is so overrun with clutter that I keep trying to get rid of but never seem to manage fully. We’re PCS’ing this summer, too, so I have even MORE reason to get this place in shape!

  13. Oh Man….I am so with you!!!

  14. I didn’t know you were on FB. 🙂 So am I. I started decluttering this week also. Your clean desk looks great.

  15. Would the planner you make reference to be easy enough to keep up with for a working mom that has kiddos in sports, meaning I’m not home much?

I think so, because it breaks the chores down into short daily tasks. And if you aren’t home much your house is probably pretty clean, lol!

  16. What is it about this time of year that makes ya want to clean, toss and organize? I’ll definitely be joining ya! I’m already off to a pretty good start.

  17. I am with you on this one! I already started, even posted some after pics on my blog. I’m not sure if I forgot to take before pics or if it was more of a subconscious not wanting folks to see how bad it was 🙂

  18. YEAH! YEAH! I can’t wait for this…………..

  19. I’ve been having a lot of trouble with clutter since we moved to our new place so I’ll be reading with interest this month!

  20. I’m in- I’m feeling motivated to regain some lost ground!
