Spiced Up Deviled Eggs

My family loves their food spiced up! Last summer my husband and kids spent an afternoon eating ghost peppers (the hottest pepper in the world) for fun! If Tabasco Original Red sauce is on the table my husband will use it, from pasta to pizza he likes his food hot!

I know many families are headed to Super Bowl Parties this weekend and my go to party food is deviled eggs. Since deviled eggs isn’t really a “football” food I thought I would kick it up a notch with some TABASCO® Original Red sauce. When I looked the ingredients of Original Red, I realized it was made from salt, pepper and vinegar, all flavors that taste great with deviled eggs so I gave it a try.

Deviled Eggs

Spiced Up Deviled Eggs

  • 4 hard boiled eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons mayo
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon TABASCO® Original Red
  • dash of pepper
  • paprika for garnish

Peel the eggs and slice in half lengthwise. Remove yolk and place yolks in a bowl. Set egg whites aside.

In the bowl mash egg yolks and add mayo, mustard, Tabasco, and pepper. Spoon egg yolk mixture back into the egg whites and garnish with paprika.

These deviled eggs were delicious! The Tabasco added a touch of tang and the kids ate them so quickly I almost didn’t get a picture!

    What a great idea! Honestly, I have NEVER made deviled eggs in my life and I love them. I even received an awesome platter for them for our wedding 2+ years ago. :) Saving this recipe and hopefully actually using it soon! hehe.

    To kick it up another notch I use chili powder on top of my eggs. I did it one time when I was out of paprika and everyone liked it so much I continued.
