What big projects do you have looming over you? Is there something you have been wanting to tackle, but just haven’t had the time, energy, or motivation? Take a few hours this weekend and work on something big. It could be a room rearrange, closet clean-out, file cabinet paper shred fest, kids room tackle, or “let’s find the floor of the garage” project.
Weekends are a great time for tackling a larger project because you can usually enlist the help of other family members. I would even recommend bribing a few kids to join you in your project with a homemade pizza or ice cream party when the job is completed.
My project – the great winter coat pack-up of 2010, and if time permits, girls’ room clean up.
On Monday, I will put up a linky at 2 pm EST and you can link up with your weekend project. It will be a great way to encourage each other and stay motivated!

That coat-cleanup just happens to be on my to-do list as well!

Done! Hats, gloves, scarfs, snowsuits (which got a lot of use this winter), and boots all clean, packed up, and put away.

LOL, we can’t do that here in Colorado until early May. We usually get a late April snowstorm. I did clean the garage today though!

It’s been snowing here the last couple of days, so we’re stuck with the coats for a little while longer. The mittens/hats/scarves are all packed away as of today though – even though it’s snowing, it’s melting pretty much as it hits the ground, and I just couldn’t stand the pile any more :-)!

I really need to pack up and dejunk our winter stuff… Off to do that 🙂

I am going to put new curtains up in our bedroom. This means I have to move the little stands in front of window out from both windows. Take off blinds and shade and clean window. Then put up curtains that block out the light. I found them at Kmart a couple weeks ago. Money for most of it was courtesy of a gift card from my husband’s uncle, at Christmas. I’ll take pictures. An afternoon job for sure. I’m sort of dreading it.

Considering that the stomach flu has been rampant in our home this week, my major job will be catching up on the laundry and the cleaning that weren’t done this week. I feel like a whimp, but that’s all I’ve got for a beautiful Satuday afternoon!

I chuckled over the “let’s find the floor of the garage” comment–we need to do that one here, and especially true of my girls’ bedroom.

Whew. I have been in organizing hell all weekend. I am at the stage where it looks worse than it used to, BUT underneath it all it is better…ugh!

I spent several hours sorting boys’ clothes and working on de-cluttering our closet. I posted about the progress… so far… on my blog. 🙂

So when you wrote this entry I was in the process of major cleaning and organizing before both sides of the family came into town for a baby blessing. Well, I did that and while not perfect, the house was at least party recovered from having a baby and not supervising the toddler enough.
Then everyone that came into town brought germs with them and we all got sick. Everyone. The house isn’t totally trashed, but things are piling up. We finally attacked the dishes yesterday because the sink was full, and we were out of clean dishes. Today, laundry, vacuuming and more! Yes, we really need to vacuum.
