The following is a post from contributing writer Lana (like banana).
Have you ever needed a gift in 5 minutes for a children’s birthday party or baby shower? This homemade gift takes about 5 minutes and goes great with a game or a pack of diapers. It would even make the cutest name-tag!
We make this craft all the time! It is so special and when the child learns to read, hopefully he or she will at least be encouraged by their name grounded in the Word of God. My children have learned entire scriptures just by looking at the framed name daily.
Supplies Needed
- Empty Frame (Make sure to clean the glass with vinegar or glass cleaner.)
- A Word Program (Or write it by freehand)
- Printer
- Cardstock or Pretty Paper
- Scissors
- Scriptures
Instructions
- Type the name vertically in a Word Program.
- Using the list below (or find your own favorite scriptures), cut (CTRL C) and paste (CTRL V) according to the corresponding letter in the name.
- Print out the name.
- Put the name in a frame.
- Wrap the frame in tissue paper.
- Place it in a gift bag.
- Rush to the party.

Hi Lana,
Thank you so much for this post. I just did a set using my children’s names and I love it. I did it on the computer and used a light variation photo of each child as the background, can’t wait to get them printed and framed.
