Getting the House in Order

by Toni Herrbach

In spite of our busy lice filled day yesterday, I did manage to get some housework done. We unpacked all our items from our trip to Williamsburg and I started on the huge laundry pile, which became bigger now that more kids have lice.

I also managed to go through the maternity clothes and put them away in my closet and dresser.

After sorting the clothes I realized that everything did not fit in my closet so I packed up a lot of my regular clothes in my maternity box and put them away until next year.

I also put a few maternity things in the Goodwill box, mostly striped shirts that I have worn through several pregnancies and I am tired of looking at! I also found a few things in my closet that I never wear and added them to the box as well.

My husband will be home for part of today, helping with the lice, so hopefully I will be able to get more done. My new motto is, “one step at a time.”  When I look at the big picture I am overwhelmed, but I can already see something bigger in all of this. I’ll share more soon.
The Laundry Mound keeps Growing (in fact after I took this picture I realized a tea bag went through the dryer and everything in the dryer needs to be washed again!)

I love the before and after shots!!

I am so sorry you are going through the lice epidemic… I hate things that are elusive to get rid of and spread back and forth… and things that increase the laundry in epic proportions!!! I feel your pain :)!!

Your laundry room looks better than mine. LOL! Our washer was down, but up and running now.

    Sorry about the lice!

    Have a beautiful; day!

Thanks for stopping by and saying hello. Sorry you have a lice issue.

I’m glad hubby is helping you with the lice. I like the term “Mount Never-Rest” for the laundry! (I did not make that up, by the way.)
