Homemade Christmas Gift #20: Acorn Wreath

This acorn wreath is a great gift for the person who has everything, because I’m sure they don’t have an acorn wreath!

Isn’t it just gorgeous! This wreath is super inexpensive if you have acorns in your yard! If you don’t have acorns try lima beans. You can find all the details and variations for this fun homemade gift on Made.

Finally, a use for lima beans! I consider them to be the most inedible and detestable vegetable on the face of this earth.

I’m about to go get my autumn decorations out of storage and I’m looking forward to putting up my wreath made from a basic grapevine wreath entwined with a silk fall leaf garland. There is a picture of it in this post: http://virginiaknowles.blogspot.com/2008/09/easy-autumn-decorating-on-dime.html

Omg, I would probably hurt someone for some Lima beans…I absolutely love them, but they don’t exist in England…boo!
I KNEW I should’ve picked up more acorns at the park yesterday….

I started making one, and am having trouble with the acorn falling off too easily. I just bumped the wreath with my purse the other day and off popped several acorns…not sure if it’s the hot glue I’m using- I’d need it to stay on better before I give it away!

I can picture this with just a little bit of glitter spray on it. Okay my 11 year old daughter would like to see this totally covered with glitter.
