Itch to Pitch ~ Overwhelmed

Itch to Pitch ~ Overwhelmed

We have officially moved into our new house and I must say I am overwhelmed at the amount of stuff. Even though I have been faithfully pitching for over  a month, I cannot believe how much junk was behind furniture, under beds, and left behind once all the big items were moved out of the house.

I would encourage you, while you are pitching and organizing, to look behind furniture, under the bed, and any other place clutter might be hiding. You might find the missing piece to a puzzle or game you were going to pitch. While you are there, vacuum, dust and clean those hard to reach places.

I don’t have pictures this week, not because I didn’t take them, but because I have no idea where my camera cord is located! Yesterday I spent almost 12 hours priming the walls in the old house (with the help of friends) and the job is almost finished. We hand over the keys to the old house tomorrow and then things should be back to normal, I hope!

Mr. Linky is acting wonky today, so feel free to leave a link in the comments, or save your post until next week.

Wow- the overwhelming of moving…with a newborn! One day at a time, right? Have a great week and I’ll see you next week with the pics of my new closet :)

Wow, what a job. I am diligently trying to get these hiding places cleaned out one teeny tiny corner at a time. Are you finding you’re pitching it or packing it? (Because you don’t have time/energy to go through it?) I hope you are getting the breaks you need! (Breastfeeding is a good excuse, eh?)

Big hugs going to you! Moving is no fun. I have done my fair share in my life and I dread it almost every time.

I feel your pain. I remember it and I’ll be there soon. Hang in there.

Did you switch to Mr Linky’s new server? If not, send them a help desk ticket (in all your free time) and tell them your user name and url. They’ll get you switched and then the widgets will work. You’ll have to edit old widgets w/ www2, but all new ones you create will work fine. But, you probably already knew this.

So glad you got everything moved! Hopefully things will get back to normal quickly for y’all.

I know exactly what you mean. We have moved several times and those were always the worst spots to find so much junk.

God bless,
Amanda

Ooooh I don’t even want to think about what’s BEHIND the furniture, I’m having enough trouble keeping what I can see clean :)

I did get some pitching done this week – still working on my office. I am plodding along slowly but steadily, check it out: http://savingsninja.blogspot.com/2009/07/itch-to-pitch-saga-continues.html

Oh, I’m tired just thinking about your move.

Didn’t get much pitching done this past week. I was not feeling well & I had to cram all my menu planning, coupon printing & shopping into an already early & busy Thursday so I could be free to go to the HERI homeschool convention on Fri & Sat. The convention was well worth it, but I’m paying for it with fatigue currency.

I try to move most of the furniture at least every 3 months because I am well aware of what finds it’s way under & behind. And it ain’t perty.

I moved from my parents, to my apartment, to my husbands apartment then to our houe. With all those moves I had very little. The past couple years I have accumulated too much and am completely overwhelmed! I can’t imagine moving right now. You’re amazing to be able to move and still post posts!!!
