This week’s Making Your Home a Haven was made for me. I have been looking at the piles on my desk for about 2 weeks wondering when I was ever going to tackle them. Now Crystal has suggested that we “pick a pile,” so the clutter on my desk must go. I hope to take care of this during lunch and have my after pictures up this afternoon. Here is my before picture…
The first thing I did was remove everything from the desk area. This is a desk in my kitchen so there is not a lot of room to work. So I moved all the stuff to the bar.
I then organized the stuff in piles; recycle, file, school, must do, library, not mine, etc…
I then had some helpers put things away and I filed all the remaining paperwork. I use binders to organize things like bills, bank statements, insurance documents, etc, but that can be discussed in a future post.
After the filing and putting away I only had a few items remaining. All of which were things I needed to take care of today.
Now my desk is clean and clutter free. Don’t forget, when tackling horizontal spaces for clutter always clean or dust them when you are finished.
Here is my tupperware cupboard one week later & still looking good!

Hi! Your desk looks great! Good job. 🙂
To answer your question, I “wrote” a preschool curriculum for my oldest two, but my 3rd is not quite as far along as they were at his age, so I am “tweaking” it for him. It’s mostly just a shoving together of a bunch of other people’s ideas. 🙂

Okay, so I peeked at your piles of stuff and noticed what looked like Drive Thru History Foundations of Character. A friend of mine and I bought FoC to do with our kids over the summer. Have you already gone through it yet/before? How did it work for you? I’d love to hear!
