Loving the homemade gifts especially since it is becoming even more important to save those pennies (in my house at least).

I have 2 go to’s when I do Christmas, one is exactly this. I don’t live close to family so I spend a lot of time making gifts to send. This year along with those to all my nieces and nephews I am putting in 2 books, The Reindeer Keeper and The Snowman Maker. They are by Barbara Ward, barbarabriggsward.com. They are going to be a great addition to my homemade things. This is the way to go for sure, whenever you can save a buck and get gifts done it’s worth it!

I told everyone, last year at Christmas, this year was going to be Homemade. Wow didn’t know how important that would be. I’ve gotten some things already done, live canning the applebutter for everyone and the crocheting the girls gifts. I need ideas for the guys in my life.

I love the 100 days of Christmas. My aunt loves home made items, it touches her heart. I try to do very nice things, not junk or crafts kids do. This year I made metal necklaces out of washers. I picked up hand soap $.89-1.00 and took the labels off and will be decorated with let it snow and tied a bow around the top.
I also decorate for Christmas and have lots of creative ideas from pinterest. Things I don’t think of but fall in love with them. Maybe 3 of them didn’t turn out well, but all the rest did.
Thank you for sharing with us that have emails.
