Welcome 2016! Cheers to a new year, a clean slate, and wonderful memories to be made! This year I thought it would be a fun idea to make a Memories Jar that we can use for collecting memories over the year. You can put anything in there. A nice memory, a grateful feeling, a fun moment…anything! I cannot wait to fill our memories jar up and read all those special memories at the end of the year.

How to Make a Memories Jar
Supplies Needed
- Large jar with a lid
- Antique Bronze spray paint
- Stickers
- Wood chalkboard tag
- Bronze pen
- Cardstock paper (2 inches x 3 inches, cut to size if larger)
- Black Sharpie
Instructions
1. Spray paint the jar with the Antique Bronze spray paint, and give it two coats.
2. Add stickers after the paint is dry.
3. Using the bronze pen, write “Memories of 2016” on the wood chalkboard tag, and hang it around the handle of the jar.
4. Put the Memories Jar in an easily accessible spot, along with the cards and Sharpie.
I just love this idea of capturing the memories throughout the year, and I cannot wait to read them all. Happy New Year to all of you, and may you have wonderful memories to put in your Jar!
