While I do have a couple of pickle jars like this, our favorite reusable containers are the giant animal crackers containers from Sams. Every time my uncle comes to town, he has brought the kids a big jar of these – to the tune of 5 or 6 a year!
So now they store cereal, beans, rice, as well as smaller items that tend to get lost but are too long for standard jars.
We also keep nut jars (square clear ones) for smaller amounts such as baking soda and stuff like that.
