Packing a lunch for your husband and kids is a great way to save money. Even buying meals from the dollar menu at a fast food place is more expensive than packing a leftover lunch. Packing a lunch is also a great way to help your spouse and kids eat healthier!
A reader sent me a link to this cute idea for packing daddy’s lunch. I love it, especially because it encourages dad and gives the kids something to do!

Myself and my sister would write cute little notes in our kids lunch boxes when they were small, up to about 5th grade. When my neice passed away and my sister was cleaning her room, she found an envelope filled with all the lunch noes from her Mom. That really touched my sister and she cried for hours. So, you would never know how much a small note in your kids lunch box would really mean to them. My daughter has recently shared with me that she still remembers getting those notes and feeling so special that my mommy takes the time to write me a note every day. They were nothing big, just a few words of encorguagement or love you. It can really make a difference in your child’s day. Try it!!
