These spicy deviled eggs are a new twist to a tried and true recipe.

My family loves spicy food so I try to spice up just about everything I make. A few years ago, my husband and kids spent an afternoon eating ghost peppers (the hottest pepper in the world) for fun! If hot sauce is on the table my husband will use it, from pasta to pizza he likes his food hot!

Deviled eggs are my go-to recipe to bring to any pot-luck. Many years ago I asked a friend why her deviled eggs tasted so good. She shared a little secret with me… Miracle Whip. Instead of using regular mayo in her deviled eggs she used Miracle Whip and it makes a huge difference.

If you don’t have Miracle Whip, you can add one teaspoon of sugar to your egg yolk mixture. It isn’t an exact substitution but it works.

Spicy deviled eggs are almost exactly the same as regular recipe, all you need is a little hot sauce.

Spicy Deviled Eggs

If you don't have any hot sauce, check your pantry for McDonald's Spicy Buffalo sauce packets. Use about 1/2 a packet in this recipe if you don't have any hot sauce.

Nutrition

Serving: 1g

These spicy deviled eggs are delicious! The hot sauce added a touch of tang but it’s not too spicy. Even the kids will gobble these up!

These make a perfect addition to your Thanksgiving meal, serve them while everyone is waiting for the turkey!

baking pro tip

Purchase an inexpensive egg tray for transporting deviled eggs to picnics, potlucks and family dinners.

What a great idea! Honestly, I have NEVER made deviled eggs in my life and I love them. I even received an awesome platter for them for our wedding 2+ years ago. 🙂 Saving this recipe and hopefully actually using it soon! hehe.

To kick it up another notch I use chili powder on top of my eggs. I did it one time when I was out of paprika and everyone liked it so much I continued.
