Wondering what to make for dinner? Check out my family’s favorite crock pot recipes for great dinner ideas!
This is probably the easiest recipe I make. I have served it for large parties, potlucks, groups of kids, and everyone loves it! This easy recipe takes less than 5 minutes of prep time!
Slow Cooker BBQ Pork
Ingredients
- 1 boneless pork roast
- 1 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- Optional: whole wheat rolls to make sandwiches
Instructions
- Spray crock pot with non stick spray.
- Add pork roast.
- Add worcestershire sauce and brown sugar.
- Cook on high for 1 hour, then on low for 5 hours.
- Pork roast is finished when it falls apart. I use a fork to shred the roast and serve on whole wheat rolls.
Notes
If using a very large roast, add more worcestershire sauce and brown sugar.

we do something very similar, only we use my husbands homemade BBQ sauce. I take the pork, put it in the crock pot and cover it with BBQ sauce. It is a family favorite.

This looks delicious! I love shredded pork but don’t like the store-bought barbeque sauce. I can’t wait to try it!

We are having pulled pork in the crockpot tonight. I have a marinade I make w/minced onions, worcestershire, maple syrup, allspice, cinnamon, garlic powder and pepper. I’ll be posting the recipe soon on my site! Your picture looks mouth-watering!
Happy Monday!

looks yummy! Do you rub or mix the brown sugar or cook it as is like in your picture?
TheHappyHousewife says
I don’t rub it in, just dump and cook. Not sure how it works, but it does! 🙂

This looks really good!

That is too funny. I have never made a pork roast in the crock pot and this morning at the last minute I realized I wouldn’t be home in time to put the, already defrosted, pork roast in the oven in time. So as i was rushing out the door, I threw it, literally, in the crock pot and was trying to think of something to add. So I added soy sauce and orange juice with some spices. Came out yummy but I’m liking the sound of yours. When I saw your post, I thought, now why didn’t I have that recipe earlier. Thanks for sharing!!

I’m not a big fan of pork roast so maybe this will convert me – mine is always dry!

I bet she’s using a shoulder roast. This probably wouldn’t work with a sirloin roast because there’s no fat to make it fall apart or shred.

I love BBQ pork sandwiches, this looks yummy, and so easy too 🙂

Could I use a pork tenderloin for this or just a roast?
TheHappyHousewife says
Yes, you can use a pork tenderloin, you might need to adjust the cooking time.

What size (# of lbs) do you use with this 1 cup of ingredients ratio?
TheHappyHousewife says
2 to 3 pound roast, but sometimes I add a little more than a cup depending on the size of the roast.

I am trying this right now. I like the few ingredients. I couldn’t find a roast in the freezer so I am using chops. I can’t wait for dinner tonight!

Here’s another great and easy recipe:
– 2-3 lbs roast
– 1 envelope Good Seasons dry garlic dressing
– 1 envelope Good Seasons dry Italian dressing
– 1 can of light beer (not dark)
Place 1 envelope of mix in slow cooker. Place roast on top. Put another envelope of mix on top and pour beer over all. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. You can make a nice gravy by adding 2 Tbsp of butter and 4-5 Tbsp of flour to the juices after removing the roast.
We’re not big on beer, but it didn’t taste like beer at all, it just sweetened it.
By the way, we miss you Toni!

Is pork shoulder the same as a pork roast? Do you think that would work. I love how the skin looks crispy, sometimes food in the crockpot doesn’t get yummy skin.
Ashley says
Can you just put the meat in frozen?
TheHappyHousewife says
Yes. Just adjust the cooking time.

I gotta tell ya, this is the best, easiest receipe since canned beer and sliced bread! My family actually thinks I can cook! Thanks!
