This week I was preparing a few meals in advance and I thought of a quick freezer tip I could share.
If you want the food to last longer in the freezer make sure it has cooled completely before wrapping and freezing. Wrapping warm food and immediately freezing will cause moisture to rise from the food, get trapped in the dish, and then form a layer of ice on top of the food. Gross!
I usually let my food cool on the counter, then place it in the fridge for a few hours before finally freezing.

That’s a good idea about sticking it in the fridge for a few hours; I hadn’t thought of that before. Thanks!
