A little about me:
I’m a military wife and stay at home (schooling) mom to seven kids. When I’m not homeschooling the kids I like to exercise, read, sew, cook, yard sale, and write. I currently live in sunny Central Florida, but being in a military family I’ve lived everywhere from Panama to West Virginia and lots of places in between. I started TheHappyHousewife.com in January of 2008 as a resource for those who wanted to better manage their homes. From recipes to budgeting, you’ll find real life, practical ways to live well, save more, and have fun! In this day and age not everyone has a mother or a grandmother next door to go to for advice, so consider The Happy Housewife a site about everything your momma could have taught you but didn’t.
Since I have seven children and a husband who is gone more than he is home, the tips, ideas, recipes, and projects posted on this site are real life ideas you can actually do. It’s housewifery for the modern mom.

In 2015 I ventured into the world of ecommerce. So far it’s been a fantastic adventure and I’m co-hosting the Sellers Summit this May in Miami. While blogging took me several years to turn into a business I was able to make almost $200,000 in revenue in less than a year selling essential oil jewelry on Amazon and my own website.
I’m also available for speaking engagements at mom’s groups and homeschool conferences.
