This is one of those… why didn’t I think of this…. ideas!
Use a dish rack and file folders to organize your miscellaneous papers, bills, taxes, and more! This would be great for homescholing too! So clever!

We use a dish rack for coloring books and the silverware cup for safety scissors, sharpener, pens, crayons etc. Easy to pull out and put aside.
That is sooooo awesome. Gotta get me one!
What a wonderful idea! I love it!
Oh, what a great idea. I have an old one that I haven’t used in 6 years. I think I like Wendy’s idea and use it for coloring books.
That is SO clever! If I did that, and placed it in the kitchen I could catch the paper mess before it becomes a mess! Thanks for sharing.
I was using one for my oldest son’s workbooks, but then commandeered it for my youngest son’s puzzles. So now have to get another for the workbooks again!
I am doing this!
I love this idea! Can you add a Pin it button to the row? I’d love to pin it to remember to do it.
Wow, many people love your idea. I pinned it on Pinterest and within seconds lots of people pinned it. Since then, a ton more have repinned and liked it! Thanks for sharing!
OMG…this is genious! I just thought I’d let you know I HAD to pin this on my Organizin’ It board on Pinterest! And p.s. I LOVE reading the story of how you became the Happy Housewife! I’ve been receiving updates via email for a couple months now and have gone back to the beginning and read your story! I think I am starting to really idolize you and all your skills as a wife, mother, organizer, teacher, cook, etc…LOVE IT!
Love it!
By the way, I got out my not being used dish rack and it works great for my folders! This is the absolute best hint I have heard in a while.
On the opposite side, I took an old metal office organizer (the one that looks like upside down ‘U’s with space between) and put it in my kitchen. It does a bang up job of holding my cutting boards, cooling racks, cookie trays and pizza stone!
