Thank you all so much for linking up your book basket posts. I really enjoy seeing what everyone else is reading and we have found some new favorite books thanks to your posts.

I also thought I would add a little PSA for my readers… DO NOT BEND THE PAGES OF LIBRARY BOOKS IN PLACE OF A BOOKMARK! Hopefully all the librarians who read this blog will like me again :).

Most of our read alouds this week were repeats. Do your kids seem to want hear the same stories over and over? Mine do. I don’t mind as long as I like the stories too. Since I don’t have anything new to share with you, here are 13 books that your boys will love ~ and you will too!

You can download a printable checklist of the books here:

While I only have girls, we enjoyed some of the books on your list as well. Make Way for Ducklings is definitely a favorite of mine.

Here is the link to my “book basket” post for this week.

Thanks – I have a 2 1/2-year-old boy and a 7-month-old boy. I am realizing that all of my favorite books when I was little may be a little “girly” for them : )

Thanks for the list of boy books. There are some of our favorites on there, and then some new ones to try, too. Yay!
I love your PSA… dog-eared pages are so sad to me!

    My post is up… here’s my link:http://buffaloesandbutterflywings.blogspot.com/2009/05/whats-in-your-bookbasket_21.html

So many of those are our favorites as well (even though we have lots more girls than boys here). Ferdinand is an all-time, super favorite. Have you ever read Wee Gillis? It’s written by Leaf and illustrated by Lawson as well.

We’re loving your “days in the kitchen” series. I can tell that my gang is media deprived because they all come flock around me to watch as well.

Take care and have a great time Friday.

Hey! I liked all those books when I was little! Except Gus and Buttons. I don’t remember that one. Other faves: Go Dogs Go! and Fox in Sox.

My 3-year old son’s fave book right now is Green Eggs and Ham. We’ve read it so much, he can help me “read” it from memorization. Love it!

My list isn’t all for boys at all… HAHAHA But I did find an old family favorite that I thought to share.

    OH and I’m good… I don’t fold library book pages… just my own. 🙂
