I have had a preschooler living in my house for the past 11 years. For those of you that have preschoolers, I am sure you know they can be very busy. Usually their busyness involves permanent marker and something that is valuable. I have found that the best way to keep a preschooler out of trouble is to keep them in your line of sight. For me, most of the time this means keeping them occupied at the table while I do school with the older kids. Here are some great table top toys to keep your preschooler occupied for at least 15 minutes.
These are all toys that we have used in our home and are loved by my little ones.
1. Big – Little Pegs by Lauri Toys
2. Tall Stacker Building Set by Lauri Toys
5. Giant Pegboard Toy by Discovery Toys
6. Playful Patterns by Discovery Toys
7. Motor Works by Discovery Toys
8. Jumbo Magneatos
9. Melissa & Doug Deluxe 24-Piece Princess Elise Magnetic Dress-Up
10. International Playthings Imaginetics Thomas at the Railyard
11. Melissa & Doug Farm Cube Puzzle
12. FeltTales Busy Day on the Farm Storyboard
13. Disney Princess Stamper stationery (12 pcs assorted stampers set)

Those cube puzzles were always a hit here. Mix-matching is as fun as getting it right.

What about Legos???? My son pretty much played with two things; cars and legos. My daughter was all about horses. Any other toy was pretty much cast aside after two or three times, so we never bought anything else after a while! Thanks for dropping by my TT at Miller Manor. Nice blog, I’ll look around a bit!

I just looked at your past post on gardening. We are just about done with our season here because of the heat and bugs… Anyway, many around us planted potatoes and we have a community potatoe plot. There are red potatoes everywhere and they were super easy to grow! I’m sure you’ll get a bumper crop!

All wonderful toys I remember fondly from my days in daycare. Funny my youngest is 11 and I still find the counting bears all over the house though 🙂
I had fun visiting your TT.
Mine is at The Cafe.
Hope you’ll drop by.

Those are some excellent choices. I remember using most of those when I taught pre-k.
I have a question for you, if you don’t mind- I noticed your sticky post at the top of your blog. And I assume you use wordpress. So, I am wondering how you make your post stay at the top. For me the only way I have figured out how to do it is to continually change the date so it stays at the top- but I see yours says April 5th. So, I’m curious- how did you do that?
