Many baby bibs have velcro closures that can stick to and tear at other clothes in the washer. An inexpensive lingerie mesh bag easily solves this problem.
Place all the bibs in the mesh bag, zip it up, and wash and dry with your other clothes.
The bibs get clean, and your other clothes are not damaged in the wash.
My favorite cleaners for getting baby stains out of bibs; OxiClean, Fels Naptha, and Spray ‘n Wash dual power.

I use those mesh bags for washing baby/kid socks. I’ve been doing it ever since mine were infants, and it makes a BIG difference ~ no more teeny tiny socks stuck to the inside of other clothes, or eaten by the washer. 🙂

Oxi Clean!!!! We used a spray pre-treater on baby stains, then threw a scoop of the powder in the washer for each load… it’s a BEAUTIFUL thing! 🙂

Oh, and for set-in stains, make a solution of the powder and water in a bucket and let your stained items soak overnight…

I use the bags for kids socks too. I HATE non matching socks. Also, they are greats to wash my son’s DogDog in. It keeps the loveys from getting as torn up in the wash.

Those bags are also great for washing sports uniforms. If you have more than one kid who plays (especially on the same team) it’s helpful to keep all the uniform together in one place. No more searching for a missing sock or shin guard when it’s time to leave for the game.

I use Lestoil to remove stains in the laundry. I pre-treat the stain with the Lestoil then run it through the washer. I’m not sure that Lestoil is available in all areas. I can only find it at one store in my area, but it’s a product that my mother used and I continue to use 33 years later!

Ya ready for this one? Soap! Like regular soap you use to wash your body. I know that sounds crazy but I swear to you it works best at getting out stains. We discovered this when we were in Ethiopia and desperately needed SOMETHING to get the stains out. We figured we’d try – it couldn’t help. And it is the best thing ever.

This is such a fabulous idea! It seems every time I do laundry, I remember that I forgot to fasten the velcro on the bibs while I am transferring all the laundry to the dryer. My daughter’s poor lace socks…
