Reusable Snack Bags

by Toni Herrbach

Reusable snack and sandwich bags are a great way to save money (eventually) and cut down on waste. If you have a little free time this summer you might want to try making some yourself. These bags are lined so you can put anything from sandwiches to fruit in the bag. They clean up easily, either in the washing machine or hand wash in the sink.

My friend Gabriel is a snack bag pro and I’ve fortunate to have some of her bags. I’m going to be making some of these later this summer, since I’m always trying to find ways to cut back on garbage.

Here is a step by step tutorial video for making the snack bags if you want to try them yourself. If you aren’t crafty, Gabriel does sell them in her Etsy shop.

If you receive this update in an email or a reader you might need to click through to watch the video.

I think that is such a great idea. I love how she explains all of what she’s doing. I will have to give them a try. Thanks for sharing this.

I’m so excited that you posted the how-to! I’ve been wanting to make some of these bags – Ive got a hubby that takes a sandwich to work everyday for lunch, and a toddler that is always snacking on the go!

Yes, a friend of mine says we need to start making these. Wonder if these would sell well at school fundraiser?
