Our son has been making his Christmas gifts every year since he was 3. Everyone loves getting a special homemade gift from him because it a one of a kind and he takes the time to think about the person he is giving it to. While I often forget to take pictures of them here are a few things we have made in the past:
-painting that he drew on a canvas then we frame it
-snowflake ornaments made out of recycled toilet paper and paper towel rolls
-homemade soap
-God’s eyes
-ornaments made out of cinnamon & applesauce
This year we are making ornaments out of a piece of a 100 year old walnut tree branch that fell in my Mother-in-laws yard and honey/lemon jars for sore throats.
Can’t wait to see the ideas that others come up with.

Exactly what I thought. I re-read and realized the “recycled” refferred to both toilet and paper towel rolls.

I made some potpourri with petals from roses my husband gave me for my birthday. They were white roses and don’t have much of a scent, but when they were completely dry, I added some fragrance oil that is used in potpourri warmers (which I already had) and now they smell heavenly. I am thinking of using this potpourri to make lacy sachets as several small Christmas gifts.
