Busy, Busy, Dreadfully Busy

by Toni Herrbach

Veggie Tales fans, do you remember this song?

I’m busy, busy, dreadfully busy
You’ve no idea what I have to do.
Busy, busy, shockingly busy
Much, much too busy for you.

Aside from the last line, which is a bit rude, I think this has become my life song. My blogging time has been decreased for several reasons. First, I love fall and like to spend as much time outside as I can. Second, my house is a wreck and I have been cleaning like crazy, and third, soccer games and church activities are gobbling up my free time!

This week I started the dreaded summer/ winter clothing exchange. I started with the little girls and have made it through one bin as well as cleaned out their drawers and closet.

We also bought a bed for the boys off Craig’s List, so we took the boys’ old bed and put it in the girls’ room. Now the girls’ bed is in my school room…

just waiting for someone to find it on Craig’s List and take it home.

I also finally fixed the torn pillow from my couch. My poor couch has seen better days, but I can’t see replacing it while our kids are still young and messy, and we are still moving every few years. Last month the zipper started to come apart in one of the pillows. I finally sewed it back together this week!

Not my best sewing job ever, but it will do.
I had a few more tackles this week, but didn’t take any pictures. Actually, I chose not to take any pictures because I would just die if you saw the mess! The kids’ rooms got complete overhauls once we put the beds in and hopefully they will stay clean until the weekend!

OH I LOVE THE PICTURES!! It lets me know that others are human and just like me : )
Don’t you just love Craig’s list! I just bought a kitchen table with 6 chairs for under $200. Is it my dream dining room set–no. But it was what we needed for our family and who wants to spend tons of money when you have 4 kids under 10!
I need to do the “switch” this weekend. I always dread going through ALL those close but it is worth it in the end.
