So…. this is what my family room looked like yesterday when I got a surprise phone call from a realtor.
They were letting me know that the house I am moving out of in a few weeks was going on the market. Today. They also wanted to know how much notice I needed before showing the house. I was tempted to say three weeks. 🙂
Things are busy around here….

Former military wife(20yrs Air Force) and the one thing I liked about a move is it forced you to “purge and clean” all your stuff. Tough job, but after the move the fresh start is worth it. Good luck to you, and the saying every military spouse knows, ‘bloom where you’re planted.’

I’m also laughing at your pic, only because it looks normal to me. Real lived in houses like yours need notice….Just like mine would…lol

LOL! This post made me laugh. So good to know I’m not the only one with days like this!

Thank goodness! I thought my house was the only one that looked like this! Looks like you’re swapping out the fall wardrobe for the spring, too. Which brings up the whole, “Do I really need to keep this?” which brings up the piles of “keep,” “thrift,” “give away,” “where the heck did this come from???”
yeah… i’m there.

Yes, we are doing the summer/ winter swap with a twist. We are also getting rid of a lot of winter stuff we won’t need in Florida, passing on baby stuff to my sister, and cleaning out because the kids have too many clothes…. Huge mess, but big rewards in the end. If you think that photo is bad, wait until I put up photos of my sewing room… 🙁

Ahhh the adventures in military moves…. it’s always something right? Good luck with your move! I would have wanted to ask the realtor if their part time job is stand up comedy because that is the most hilarious question to ask someone who is packing up a household!

Oh I was going to say stick it in a drawer… but I can see that is where the problem began. Yea, I think I would try the 3 week thing, GOOD LUCK!

But you still had time to post this! Impressive! I can’t imagine having to move every few years. Here’s to those military wives/husbands! And homeschoolers. (Whew!)

Put this photo on the kitchen counter in a frame showing that this is what the house looked like before the prospective buyers came to see it so they can “picture” their own children living in it, too. 🙂

This isn’t just flattery, but I would love your house despite the “clutter” in the family room. It’s very pretty! Hope everything goes smoothly!
