Prayers Appreciated for My Son

by Toni Herrbach

This weekend my fourteen and sixteen year old boys were burned in a bonfire accident. My sixteen year old son has 2nd degree burns on his foot and was treated and released.

My fourteen year old son Liam has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 20% of his body (both legs).

He’s being treated at a hospital two hours from our home in a pediatric burn facility.

Currently we are trying to manage pain and keep his spirits up. He has a long road of recovery ahead, and I’ll try to update when I can.

If you think of it will you please pray for him? To see your child is this much pain breaks a mama’s heart. We are so thankful it wasn’t worse and that no one else was injured, but our hearts hurt for our son.

We are praying for all of you. May God bless you all and heal you quickly. We had a bonfire recently, too. My sons watched it, so the pasture would not catch on fire. It was scary, and accidents happen. Next time, we may just take the stuff to recycling 🙂

Many prayers are being said for Liam, and for the rest of the family as well. When one member of a family is hurt, they all hurt with him.

J am so sorry to hear this. When something like this happens, you just want to take their pain and make it your own. And living 2 hours from the hospital is a big stress too. Prayers winging their way to God for the boys as well as you and the rest of your family.

    Heavenly Father,
You are the ultimate physician and healer. Cover Liam and his family with your loving touch. Guide the hands and hearts of Liam’s medical team that he may heal quickly. Cover them with your goodness and mercy , relieving them of fear and anxiety. Bless them with the support of family and friends to cheer them ! And speak to their hearts so they will always know you are near.
We ask you this in your most holy name, Amen
