Fall

Growing up in Florida, fall consisted of the two days you needed to wear your jacket to the bus stop. Now that I live further north I love fall.

Crisp mornings, long sleeve shirts, roasting marshmallows by the fire, changing leaves and cheap apples. It is nice when your favorite fruit is in season :).

What is your favorite thing about fall?

This post is linking to Things I Love Thursday. This weeks You Capture challenge is Red.

    What a cutie!

I love being able to open the windows without worrying about the heat & humidity coming in. Love wearing layers too – gives me more leeway w/hiding the flab 😉

I can’t believe how big Cora is getting! I always loved parking my babies in a big pile of leaves and taking pictures. It’s so fun to watch them take it all in–the strange new textures, the sounds of the leaves crunching each time they move, and watching their crazy mom with the camera! LOL This reminds me that I need to do that (when the rain clears up) with my little guy this fall! He’s at the perfect age–just turning 1. He’ll love it.

Fall is my favorite time of the year! Growing up we never seemed to live anywhere with a good fall. Now, I live in my husbands home state of Michigan and I must say that we have the BEST fall ever 🙂 Football games, apple orchards, air that is delicious and cold, gorgeous trees…. We’ve got it all and I have been soaking it up for weeks. Every year we make ourselves wait to put our flannel sheets on our bed until the air has been crisp for a few days. That’s the beginning of fall to me 🙂

Your pictures remind me that I don’t take enough pictures to share with family. It’s nice to keep focused that every day God gives us is a day to cherish and share.
Anyway, I love to step on fall leaves to hear them ‘crunch’. LOL That’s the kid in me. And the colors of fall are breathtaking on the mountains I see from my living room window. And to fill the kitchen with wonderful aromas and not worry that it is heating up the house (in fact welcoming the warmth) makes me feel good.

I joined the 365 picture challenge because I want to remember to take at least one picture a day! Time flies and they grow up fast. I love preserving their little faces in pictures.

My favorite thing is finally getting to open the blinds and let the light and fresh cool air in. We have to button up the house from May to October, that a long time.
I also love seeing the neighborhood come back to life. All summer it is too hot to go out in the evenings and now you see people out walking and going to the park.

My favorite thing about fall… the weather {well, sort of, considering it’ll be 80 degrees today 🙁 } But it’s a much welcome break from the hot summer months down here in the south. We’re in shorts today, but there’s still a coolness that I love.
Oh, and the fair. Can’t wait to go this weekend!

Before I got pregnant, I hated fall, but now, Im loving the thought of it, because it means that delivery is just around the corner! (Plus it means cooler weather, and pregnancy + high temps don’t mix well!)
