Deployment life is like a roller coaster. As bad as one day is, the next day can be equally amazing. It’s something to remember in the midst of bad days- because even though they might seem overwhelming it is good to know that a good day is just around the corner.
There have been plenty of bad days so far. But we’ve also had lots of laughs. I started thinking today about all the benefits of a deployment. Now of course we would give all these up in a minute but, I find it helpful to try find the positive in any situation.
If you can’t laugh about it, you probably can’t get through it. 🙂
As we ate leftovers, cereal, and rainbow cake for dinner and stayed up way too late and I realized that those things don’t happen when things are normal around here.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if all the fun stuff about deployment could continue on when the deployment is over? I’m not sure it can, but it feels good to find the good in the middle of it all.
My husband has been deployed to the Middle East for 274 days. These are my real thoughts expressing my heart during his absence. I appreciate your prayers and kind words as we cope, adapt, and carry on without him until August 2014. To read from the beginning, click here.
