Yep- this about sums it up for today.
My husband has been deployed to the Middle East for 274 days. These are my real thoughts expressing my heart during his absence. I appreciate your prayers and kind words as we cope, adapt, and carry on without him until August 2014. To read from the beginning, click here.

You could try to bribe the kids to do it with take out Chinese.

My husband recently left for his (and my) first deployment. I have been an emotional nightmare lately and I’m hoping it gets a little better soon. I also wanted to say that I enjoy reading your blog posts, it makes me feel a little comfort in knowing I’m not alone. Thank you so much for sharing your daily stories! You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi,
I just read all your days of deployment. Think I got to your site through Pinterest, but thought it vey interesting that I found your site. Not that I have ever had to deal with deployment. My husband was in and out of the Navy before we even met. But homeschooling, I do know the demands for that, but not for 7 kids nor doing it alone. As I read your entries, I could feel your emotions, high or low, but through it all, you always have hope in your heart and you never give up. You are a good wife and mother. Reading your entries, and from a stranger, just want you to know that I am proud of you, not that it matters, since you don’t know me. But I just want to encourage you during this Christmas season to continue to let JOY be in your heart by knowing that you are not alone, that God is right there with you. Sometimes walking by your side, and others just carrying you. His presence and His comfort is able to carry not only you, but your kids and your husband as well. By the way, let your husband know too, that we thank him for his service not only to his country but to his family as well. And remember when it gets all hectic, to stop, breathe, and look up! For the God of Heaven is watching over you!
