Today we remember.
Today, we all reminisce about what we were doing thirteen years ago around 9am.
Today we mourn.
Today, my husband is preparing to head off to war.
Today, 9-11 seems more real, more painful than it has in the past.
Today, 9-11 is personal.
Today is no different than any other day for my children who have no memory of a pre 9-11 world.
Today they’ll see the news, read updates, and maybe even see pictures. But they don’t really understand.
Today let us not forgot those for whom this day has always been personal.
Today let us not forgot those who didn’t come home from work on 9-11-01.
Today let us remember those who have given it all to protect our freedom.
Twelve years ago today our lives were changed forever.
Never forget.

I agree every year. I go through the same feelings.
