She&#8217;s been a long time reader and recently moved to the area with her family. She offered to make us dinner a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m typically one who declines these types of offers, but I&#8217;m learning to accept help, because we do need it.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m so glad I said yes to Amanda. She cooked my family a delicious meal that my children devoured.<\/p>\n<p>I spent the evening wrapping presents with the &#8220;help&#8221; of my thirteen year old. He didn&#8217;t actually do a lot of helping, he really just wanted to see what his siblings were getting for Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>We wrapped late into the night, and after we were done I could hear him and his brother downstairs.<\/p>\n<p>I check on them before I went to bed, and found this.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/real-life\/files\/2013\/12\/boys1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20907\" alt=\"boys1\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/real-life\/files\/2013\/12\/boys1.jpg\" width=\"452\" height=\"602\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/real-life\/files\/2013\/12\/boys1.jpg 452w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/real-life\/files\/2013\/12\/boys1-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 452px) 100vw, 452px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s hard to see, but they are sleeping &#8220;under&#8221; the Christmas tree. This has been a tradition in our family for many years, but it is a dad tradition.
