Any excuse to use scissors and glue is perfect for my little ones! This easy preschool prayer book is a fun way to practice basic coordination skills and remember those we love in prayer.<\/p>\n<p>Even though we pray for each meal, I wanted our little ones to learn to pray for friends and family. We don&#8217;t just pray when someone is sick or coming to visit. We pray blessings over our family and always remember them to keep them lifted up.<\/p>\n<p>Two prayer books that I love for preschoolers are <a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Prayers-Graces-Alice-Bibleland-Storybook\/dp\/0837850789\/\" target=\"_blank\">Prayers and Graces<\/a> and <a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Blessings-Bible-Alice-Joyce-Davidson\/dp\/0784711895\" target=\"_blank\">Baby Blessings Bible<\/a>, both written by Alice Joyce Davidson. Both of these give simple examples of scriptures and then have a prayer response. I just love the tenderness and love that is taught through these two books.<\/p>\n<p>Even though the books are for little ones, I think they&#8217;re enjoyable for the whole family. I know that they keep my eyes on the Lord and remind me to praise Him and speak to Him daily.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27169 size-full\" title=\"Preschool Prayer Book Supplies at The Happy Housewife\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2015\/08\/preschool-prayer-book-1.jpg\" alt=\"Preschool Prayer Book Supplies at The Happy Housewife\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2015\/08\/preschool-prayer-book-1.jpg 500w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2015\/08\/preschool-prayer-book-1-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Supplies Needed<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2 different colored pieces of construction paper (for the cover and hand print)<\/li>\n<li>Pencil<\/li>\n<li>Safety Scissors<\/li>\n<li>Glue<\/li>\n<li>Crayons or washable markers<\/li>\n<li>Copy\/printer paper<\/li>\n<li>Stapler<\/li>\n<li>Printer<\/li>\n<li>Pictures of family and friends<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Directions<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Determine the size of the book. We made our book cover\u00a09 inches x 6\u00a0inches because that will cover nicely\u00a0the size of a folded sheet of copy paper. (We bought a pad of construction paper this size at Dollar Tree for&#8230;$1!) If you don&#8217;t have a piece this size, you can always cut a piece of construction paper to fit these dimensions.<\/p>\n<p>Cut 2 sheets\u00a0of copy paper in half to form four total pieces that are 5.5 inches x 8.5 inches.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27176 size-full\" title=\"Preschool Prayer Book at The Happy Housewife\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2015\/08\/preschool-prayer-book-8.jpg\" alt=\"Preschool Prayer Book at The Happy Housewife\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2015\/08\/preschool-prayer-book-8.jpg 500w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2015\/08\/preschool-prayer-book-8-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These copy paper pages will fit inside the cover.
