I&#8217;m not sure how I hadn&#8217;t discovered it before this year, but it is a great read with wonderful illustrations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26643\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2015\/03\/the-little-red-lighthouse.jpg\" alt=\"the little red lighthouse\" width=\"540\" height=\"851\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2015\/03\/the-little-red-lighthouse.jpg 540w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2015\/03\/the-little-red-lighthouse-190x300.jpg 190w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Little Red Lighthouse was round, red, jolly and very proud. It guided ships up and down the river until the Great Gray Bridge was built. The Little Red Lighthouse thought it wasn&#8217;t needed anymore because the Great Gray Bridge had taken its job. There is a great lesson at the end of the story -you&#8217;re never too small to make a difference &#8211; something young kids can definitely take to heart.<\/p>\n<p><a target = \"_blank\"
