I love fall.\u00a0 I love the cooler temperatures.\u00a0 I love the falling leaves.\u00a0 I love walking through the leaves.\u00a0 I love spending time outside with my kids enjoying the weather before it gets cold.\u00a0 There are so many things we can do!<\/p>\n

One of the activities we try to enjoy every year (I will avoid calling it a chore or a problem!) is raking leaves.\u00a0 It can be fun!<\/p>\n

An odd thing about the house we live in currently is that it has very few trees.\u00a0 The little ones that were there when we moved in are getting bigger, but not enough for a huge raking project. However, our neighbors’ trees are another story.\u00a0 We get lots of leaves from everyone else’s trees.<\/p>\n

So what do we do?\u00a0 We rake them all into a big pile.\u00a0 We bury each other.\u00a0 We jump out of the leaves to startle someone. We play in the leaves.\u00a0 We bag them up and recycle them (through the city).\u00a0 We fill fall decorations with them.\u00a0 We throw them at each other.\u00a0 (Well, not me, usually, but the kids do.)\u00a0 We rake our neighbor’s leaves.<\/p>\n

We do it all again the next week, after more leaves have fallen.\u00a0 It never ends, but neither does the fun.\u00a0 (We won’t mention the wet, soggy, snowed on or rained on leaves.\u00a0 Wait til they dry out.)<\/p>\n
