If nothing else because I need to find activities to occupy little Miss Cora during our school day.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26310\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2011\/08\/sponge-tower-time.jpg\" alt=\"sponge tower blocks\" width=\"427\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2011\/08\/sponge-tower-time.jpg 427w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2011\/08\/sponge-tower-time-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 427px) 100vw, 427px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cora is my most active toddler and I need a long list of activities to keep her out of trouble this year.<\/p>\n<p>I found this awesome idea on <a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pinterest.com\/happy1\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pinterest<\/a> (of course).<\/p>\n<h3><a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/toddlerapproved.blogspot.com\/2011\/07\/sponge-tower-time.html\" target=\"_blank\">Sponge Blocks<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2011\/08\/sponge.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18365 alignleft\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/homeschool\/files\/2011\/08\/sponge.jpg\" alt=\"sponge blocks\" width=\"216\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a> This is truly a genius idea! You can find out how to make them on <a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/toddlerapproved.blogspot.com\/2011\/07\/sponge-tower-time.html\">Toddler Approved! <\/a><\/p>\n<p>I like these blocks because:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If your toddler throws them nothing will break.<\/li>\n<li>They are quiet when they fall.<\/li>\n<li>They are super cheap.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If your toddler is still putting everything in their mouth you might want to wait until they outgrow that phase before making these sponge blocks. They could choke on a piece of the sponge if they bit a piece off.<\/p>\n<p>I plan on making these for Cora this weekend!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m hoping to resume my toddler activity series this fall.
