Moore last year for about $25 a piece on sale. IKEA also sells a similar system for around $125. Anyway, the kids were supposed to have their own cubby, but since we moved, there has been no system for where things belong in the cubbies. Today I wanted to pull everything out, throw out the junk, file any loose school work, and create a system for all of our school books and resources.

Here is my before picture-

After pulling everything out I decided each child would have one cubby. The remaining cubbies would hold the following:

finished books from this year

future books for this year

art books, paper and empty folders

one mom cubbie

Actually, one of my kids scored two cubbies because he is our artist and his drawings took up an entire cubby.

After I have my homeschool evaluation this week, I might be able to box up our completed books, then I would have two additional empty cubbies.

Here are my after pictures. It is a little hard to see but I have labeled each cubby to make it easier for the kids to find their spot.

Here is a close up of my cubby

another close up of the shelves

I feel pretty good about getting all this done today.
