I made a Valentine&#8217;s Day bouquet for my son&#8217;s teacher out of coffee filters. It turned out so cute, and I cannot believe how easy it was! It really got my mind going with other bouquet ideas I could do. But for now, I will share with you how to make a Valentine&#8217;s Day Bouquet using coffee filters.<\/p>\n<h2>Coffee Filter Bouquet<\/h2>\n<h3>Supplies Needed<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-30904 size-full\" title=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Supplies\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2016\/01\/FullSizeRender-391-e1453693545592.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Supplies\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2016\/01\/FullSizeRender-391-e1453693545592.jpg 600w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2016\/01\/FullSizeRender-391-e1453693545592-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Small vase<\/li>\n<li>3 inch coffee filters (measured at the base)<\/li>\n<li><a target = \"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4hA17Cl\">3-1\/4 inch coffee filters<\/a>\u00a0(measured at the base)<\/li>\n<li><a target = \"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/42Lif34\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Floral wire<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target = \"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/42znKly\">Floral tape<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/DecoArt-Americana-Acrylic-2-Ounce-Primary\/dp\/B00A2CG5YG\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1454650580&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=red+craft+paint&amp;tag=thehaphou-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Red paint<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Glitter paint<\/li>\n<li>Paint brush<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<li>Glue (any glue will work)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Instructions<\/h3>\n<p>1. Paint your coffee filters. I painted five of each size. I put a coat of the red on and then went over them with the glitter paint. Lay them out to dry.<\/p>\n<p>2. When they are dry, you can start folding them to make your flowers.\u00a0You have to fold them each in half five times.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-30902 size-full\" title=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 2\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2016\/01\/IMG_9774-e1453692798591.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 2\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>4. Once you have made your last fold, cut a notch on the inside of the fold.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-30900 size-full\" title=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 4\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2016\/01\/IMG_9776-e1453692831946.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 4\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>5. Unfold once and cut both sides to round the\u00a0edges.\u00a0It should now look like a heart!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-30901 size-full\" title=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 5\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2016\/01\/IMG_9775-e1453692816982.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 5\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>6. Repeat these steps with the rest of your painted coffee filters and do the same to 10 more plain white coffee filters (five of each size).\u00a0When you are done, open them all up.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-30898 size-full\" title=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 6\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2016\/01\/IMG_9779-e1453692887517.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 6\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>7. \u00a0Take your floral wire and bend the end into a little loop. Poke the floral wire through the center\u00a0of one of the smaller filters. Pull it down until it reaches the loop on the wire. Starting with the smaller filters first makes for more proportioned flowers.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-30897 size-full\" title=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 7\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2016\/01\/IMG_9780-e1453692906303.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 7\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>8.\u00a0Put glue all around the base of where your little wire loop is, and then pull the filter up and around the loop of wire and\u00a0pinch the filter together up and around the wire.\u00a0Twist it around the wire.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-30896 size-full\" title=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 8\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2016\/01\/IMG_9781-e1453692920108.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 8\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>9. Add another filter. Dab some glue at the base and pull it up then pinch and twist. Here is where the creativity comes in. I made some red and white flowers, some plain red ones, and some plain white ones.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-30895 size-full\" title=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 9\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2016\/01\/IMG_9782-e1453692937656.jpg\" alt=\"Coffee Filter Valentine's Day Bouquet Step 9\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>10. Keep building your flower until you reach your desired size. With some I used five filters on and some I used three. I like the diversity. Once you have your amount of filters on, use your floral tape to secure the flower. Dab some glue to hold your floral tape and begin to pinch and wrap, pinch and wrap. The pictures do not do it justice. You can barely see the glitter, but you definitely can in person.
