<\/a><\/p>\nIf you remember, the bathroom was the last room standing with wallpaper. After peeling wallpaper for two weeks I decided to paint over the wallpaper in my bathroom instead of peeling it off.<\/p>\n
I realize that the wallpaper could come up, but I took a lot of precautions so hopefully this makeover will last for a few years.<\/p>\n
Bathroom plan:<\/p>\n

- Paint frame on sink mirror and wall mirror.<\/li>\n
- Paint over existing wallpaper.<\/li>\n
- Remove shower doors.<\/li>\n
- Paint vanity.<\/li>\n
- Spray paint nobs and fixtures.<\/li>\n
- Replace faucets.<\/li>\n
- Paint doors & trim (not finished)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The Kingston Brass Faucets<\/a>\u00a0were the most expensive part of the makeover at $66 each on Amazon. It also took the longest because we changed out the plumbing in the bathroom (to the wall) so that when we re-plumb the entire house it will be cheaper.

<\/a><\/p>\nI spent about $50 in paint, spray paint, and primer. I used Insl-x Sxa-110-04 Stix Waterborne Bonding Primer<\/a>
to paint all the mirrored frames and it worked really well. I’ll be posting a tutorial on how to paint a mirror soon because I think it makes a huge difference!<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\nI painted the frames around the big mirror and sink mirror.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\nI spent about $15 in stick down tiles to cover the inside of the vanity. It is in pretty bad shape, but I think the tiles will buy us some more time.<\/p>\n
We removed the mirrored shower doors and replaced it with a $8 shower rod. I bought rings, but then found rings in our stuff so I’ll be returning those.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\nThe only thing I didn’t think about was a towel rack. The old towel rack was on the shower doors so I’ll need to hang a new one in the bathroom. I know I have several coat racks in our boxes so I’ll just need to find one and reuse it.<\/p>\n
Total cost for the makeover was right around\u00a0$200!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
I still need to touch up the large mirror and caulk a few places to make sure the wallpaper stays put under the paint, but I was so excited about the progress I had to give you an update.<\/p>\n
