Today was another day of staying out of the way. Our wood floors go throughout the hallways of the house so there isn’t much I can do without being in the way.<\/p>\n

I continued to work on the mirror for the girl’s bath.<\/p>\n

I had what I thought was a great idea for the old mirror. I would spray it with my metallic spray paint<\/a>. Then I would paint over it with my pure white Annie Sloan, then sand it off a bit of the white so the metallic would show through.<\/p>\n

It was going well until I realized that the mirror might not fit with the new light fixture. The old fixture was long and narrow and the new fixture was mounted with a large circle.<\/p>\n

I hopped over all the wood flooring to take the mirror to the bathroom to see if it fit with the new fixture and it didn’t.<\/p>\n

I was super bummed because I really wanted to reuse the mirror. Then I remembered I would need a mirror in the half bath that we totally gutted so I’m going to use it there. There should be plenty of space to mount it on that wall, but after the vanity is delivered tomorrow I should know for sure.<\/p>\n

I also figured out the mystery of the bubbling primer on my mirror. Before I painted the mirror I had caulked around it to seal the wallpaper. I didn’t realize it when I primed, but some of the caulk was still wet and was on the mirror in the corners where I had caulked.<\/p>\n

See how it\u00a0caused the paint to bubble up? I painted it again today (caulk was totally dry) and it covered everything. It should be ready to paint with the regular paint tomorrow.<\/p>\n

The floors should be done by tomorrow and then I can get back in the house and start finishing up all the projects.<\/p>\n
