They match my decor perfectly and bring a touch of spring to the room.<\/p>\n<p>If you have some empty bottles and scrap yarn you can achieve a similar look. Here&#8217;s how.<\/p>\n<h3>Yarn Wrapped Bottles<\/h3>\n<h4>Supplies Needed<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Empty Bottle<\/li>\n<li>Yarn<\/li>\n<li>Glue (<a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/s\/?_encoding=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;field-keywords=mod%20podge&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;sprefix=mod%2Caps%2C282&amp;tag=thehaphou-20&amp;url=search-alias%3Daps\" target=\"_blank\">Mod Podge<\/a>, School Glue, or Tacky Glue)<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28165\" title=\"Yarn Wrapped Bottles (supplies) | The Happy Housewife\" alt=\"Yarn Wrapped Bottles (supplies) | The Happy Housewife\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2014\/03\/Yarn-Wrapped-Bottles-1.jpg\" width=\"560\" height=\"373\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2014\/03\/Yarn-Wrapped-Bottles-1.jpg 560w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2014\/03\/Yarn-Wrapped-Bottles-1-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Instructions<\/h4>\n<p><strong>1. Clean the bottle and take off the label.<\/strong>\u00a0I used an empty olive oil bottle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Cover a small amount of the bottle with glue.<\/strong>\u00a0I tried this project with Mod Podge and school glue. Both worked fine, but the school glue was easier to use because I could squeeze it out instead of using a brush. Tacky glue would also work well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Wrap the yarn around the bottle<\/strong> keeping the layers close together so very little, if any, of the bottle shows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Once you reach the neck of the bottle you may notice that the yarn wants to slip upward.<strong>\u00a0As you wrap the yarn hold it in place for a minute or two before moving upward with more layers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>6.
