{"id":26650,"date":"2013-08-22T08:00:06","date_gmt":"2013-08-22T12:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/?p=26650"},"modified":"2014-01-27T21:03:53","modified_gmt":"2014-01-28T02:03:53","slug":"3-solutions-for-clutter-excuses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/3-solutions-for-clutter-excuses\/","title":{"rendered":"3 Solutions for Clutter Excuses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26651\" title=\"3 Solutions for Clutter Excuses\" alt=\"3 Solutions for Clutter Excuses\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/07\/cluttered_desk.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/07\/cluttered_desk.jpg 500w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/07\/cluttered_desk-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>by contributing writer\u00a0<a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/yNpDjM\" target=\"_blank\">Angie<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Clutter has a way of building up around our homes.\u00a0 Sometimes it appears in forms that we easily recognize as clutter, such as piles of papers.\u00a0 Other times, however, it appears as things we once loved but don&#8217;t use anymore or things we feel obligated to keep.\u00a0 Keeping clutter around our homes becomes easy because we make excuses for why we can&#8217;t get rid of it.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s look at some of those reasons we keep our homes cluttered and look toward solutions for our excuses.<\/p>\n<h3>We love books, so we have them all over the house.<\/h3>\n<p>Books really are pretty fabulous.\u00a0 In fact, it&#8217;s hard to think of books as clutter.\u00a0 However, if you have full bookshelves and stacks of books all over the place, they might be clutter in your home.\u00a0 When I found that there were books in every nook and cranny, as well as multiple bookshelves that were crammed with books, I needed a solution.<\/p>\n<p>While the solution you may want is to get another bookshelf, a great start is to first go through all of your books. \u00a0You might take on this task a little at a time. \u00a0I did it all in one afternoon because I didn&#8217;t want the mess to take over.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/07\/book-pile.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-26785 alignnone\" title=\"3 Solutions for Clutter Excuses -
