My son loves to stack things and likes to knock things over even more! For a few weeks, I saved all of our cereal boxes and made my toddler his very own block set.<\/p>\n<p>This is a great upcycle project. \u00a0When he is tired of playing with them, they can simply be recycled.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Make Cereal Box Building Blocks<\/h2>\n<h4>Supplies Needed<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Cereal Boxes<\/li>\n<li>Packing or Duct tape<\/li>\n<li>Craft paper or brown paper bags<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Instructions<\/h4>\n<p><strong>1. Tape the ends of each cereal box. <\/strong>Taping the ends of each box will help the stability of these blocks<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Wrap each cereal box with craft paper. <\/strong>Covering the cereal boxes will make your DIY blocks look more like a set of blocks and not just cereal boxes. \u00a0In my house, it was necessary to cover the cereal boxes. \u00a0My one year old kept asking for a snack when he saw the cereal boxes instead of stacking them!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/07\/cereal3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26615\" alt=\"Cereal Box Building Blocks 2\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/07\/cereal3.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/07\/cereal3.jpg 500w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/07\/cereal3-300x192.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Color your new blocks (o<strong>ptional).<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong> Older kids may want to color their blocks. \u00a0They might have something in mind that they want to build. \u00a0These cereal boxes can always be re-wrapped.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.
