In order to keep all their swimming necessities in one place, I created a beach towel with a pocket. Each child can store their goggles, sunshades, snacks, or money in the handy pocket sewn to the back side of the towel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/06\/pocketbeachtowel12.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26506\" alt=\"Pocket Beach Towel Supplies @ponderthepath\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/06\/pocketbeachtowel12.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/06\/pocketbeachtowel12.jpg 600w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/06\/pocketbeachtowel12-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Supplies Needed:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Beach Towel<\/li>\n<li>Small Hand Towel (Coordinating Color)<\/li>\n<li>22 inch Zipper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Instructions:<\/h4>\n<p><strong>1. Install the Zipper<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Unzip the zipper. Align one side of the zipper with one long side of the hand towel, right sides together. Using a zipper foot, sew the zipper to the towel.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26511\" alt=\"Install zipper @ponderthepath\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/06\/pocketbeachtowel7.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/06\/pocketbeachtowel7.jpg 600w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/06\/pocketbeachtowel7-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Fold the towel in half, right sides together. Align the un-sewn zipper side to the un-sewn side of the the towel, right sides together, and sew.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Finish Pocket<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the towel is longer than the zipper, fold the towel in half (right sides together) and sew up the ends using a scant 1\/4 seam allowance.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26513\" alt=\"Finish Pocket @ponderthepath\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/06\/pocketbeachtowel5.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/06\/pocketbeachtowel5.jpg 600w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2013\/06\/pocketbeachtowel5-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Leaving hand towel inside out, center zipper and press flat. Sew Pocket to Back of Beach Towel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Align pocket on the back side of the beach towel.
