Daisha is a wife and homeschooling mom who uses lists to help keep her family organized. \u00a0She says,<\/p>\n

“I started one thing with my son when he was about 3 or 4 and it has grown with him. I started making lists. This list has saved many fights and misunderstandings. They are more about making life long habits.<\/p>\n

We have 4 note cards taped to the bathroom mirror (morning, daytime, extra chore, and bed time). They are also on a reward system (video games, computer time, and allowance). \u00a0The key is sitting down with both parents and making the list and the rewards.<\/p>\n

When the daytime list is done, he can pick a video game or movie or tv time. He knows that he should not even ask unless the lists are done! I don’t have to ask everyday if things are done and it has helped our relationship. We used pictures and magazine cut outs before he could read.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nMonday~ clean off night stand and desk
\nTuesday~ pick up the bedroom floor
\nWednesday~ vacuum bedroom
\nThursday~pick up the closet
\nFriday~ clean up bathroom (he has his own)
\nSaturday~ mom or dad’s choice<\/p>\n

\nDishwasher
\nPut away toys
\nPlay outside
\nPut away clean laundry<\/p>\n

Bedtime<\/strong>
