My kids and I are in a hotel room. \u00a0We\u2019ve read all the books, and I\u2019m trying to keep the television off.<\/p>\n

What can I do for fun?\u00a0 I need a project – ASAP!<\/p>\n

I love those easy projects (that are either free or cheap) that you can do with kids, and my list of\u00a077 ways to fight boredom is about all used up.\u00a0
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

So, we decided to Make Towel Origami.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I gave each of the kids a towel, hand towel or washcloth and let them experiment.\u00a0 My kids came up with snakes, guns, Leaning Tower of Pisa and many more.\u00a0 There is no right or wrong, no messes, and you can’t hurt a towel.<\/p>\n

How to make a Towel Swan<\/h4>\n

Supplies:<\/strong>\u00a0 One child and one washcloth.<\/p>\n

Instructions<\/h4>\n

1. \u00a0Lay out the wash cloth.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

2. \u00a0Fold one corner to center.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

3. \u00a0Fold an adjacent corner to the center.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

4. \u00a0Begin to twist the side of the towel starting with the top all the way to the bottom.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

5. \u00a0Now twist the other side.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

6. \u00a0Flip the towel over and bend the towel in half.\u00a0 You are almost done!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

7. \u00a0Bend the head down. Fluff the feathers.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t work out right the first few times.\u00a0 Keep experimenting.\u00a0 Roll tighter.\u00a0 Have fun!<\/p>\n

Towel origami is so cool to make and possibilities are endless.\u00a0 Look at my son’s elephant.<\/p>\n
