Give my kids water and a sponge and they are thrilled, so cleaning the baseboards stopped being a punishment and became a rainy day activity.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/how-to-clean-baseboards.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-27792\" src=\"\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/how-to-clean-baseboards.jpg\" alt=\"How to Clean Baseboards | The Happy Housewife\" width=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/how-to-clean-baseboards.jpg 500w, https:\/\/thehappyhousewife.com\/home-management\/files\/2012\/03\/how-to-clean-baseboards-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dirty baseboards make a whole room look dirty so I recommend keeping them clean. This is a great job for little kids because you don&#8217;t need to use chemicals to remove the dirt. (Unless you haven&#8217;t cleaned them for 10 years)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For a quick cleaning brush them off with a <a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/1SJRX4P\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dust broom<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>If your baseboards need more than a quick cleaning, brush, then wipe them down with a damp cloth.<\/li>\n<li>If you can&#8217;t tell the difference between your dog and your baseboards you&#8217;ll probably want to use a bucket of water and a squirt of dish soap or all purpose cleaner and give them a good scrubbing.<\/li>\n<li>After your baseboards are clean, wipe them with a <a target = \"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/1JiE6Rg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dryer sheet<\/a>.
