Fill the sink with warm water and a squirt of dish soap then use a sponge or rag to wipe down the cabinets. Doing this every month or so is a great way to keep kitchen cabinet doors clean. It is also a great cleaning project for younger kids.

Borax

If your cabinets are extra dirty or greasy try using a sponge and cleaning with borax. Remember to rub with the grain of your cabinets and rinse with water when finished.

Vinegar

Make a solution of one cup of vinegar to two cups of water, and use a spray bottle and rag to wipe down the cabinets. Warning- your kitchen will smell like a pickle.

Don’t Forget the Handles

The best way to clean the handles is to remove them and soak them, but if you can’t do that, wipe them thoroughly with an anti-bacterial cleaner. Gluten Free Homemaker recommends using a toothpick to remove all the little dirt and crumbs from your cabinet handles.

Remember to test a small section of your cabinets to make sure your cleaning solution doesn’t damage your cabinets.

For more ideas to help you simplify and organize one day at a time, visit the Organized in 365 Archives.

Have you shared a great organizing tip on your website?
