<\/a><\/p>\nWhen I was younger, I babysat for multiple families in my neighborhood.\u00a0 I remember feeling the most awkward when:<\/p>\n
a. \u00a0The parents left me with a lack of information about their house rules and about their children. ( Like bed time or television rules.)<\/p>\n
b. \u00a0They told me that I could eat anything, but then I would have to root through their cabinets to find something. \u00a0It always made me feel a little weird.<\/p>\n
These days, finding a great babysitter can be challenging. In fact, most of my friends with young friends never have a date night because they don’t have a sitter!<\/p>\n
If you don’t live near friends and family this can be a real problem.<\/p>\n
One you find a great babysitter you want to make their life as easy as possible. (Because I know my kids aren’t going to make their life any easier!)<\/p>\n
More importantly, making sure your babysitter has all the information they need to take care of your children at their fingertips is a top priority.<\/p>\n
How to Create a Babysitter Box<\/h2>\n
Before our first babysitter arrived, I came up with a Babysitter Box. \u00a0The box includes all the information our babysitter could possibly want to know about our child, information about our home, and some assorted snacks that she can treat herself to while she is at our house.<\/p>\n
Supplies Needed<\/h3>\n\n- An old gift box\/shoebox<\/li>\n
- Paper to decorate the box<\/li>\n
- Print outs of information<\/li>\n
- Snacks for the babysitter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

1. \u00a0Start by wrapping a gift box with neutral wrapping paper.<\/strong><\/p>\n2. Create a series of print outs on your computer to include in the information box.<\/strong> I created my own, because I had specific instructions for my 4 month old. \u00a0I could not find\u00a0a print out\u00a0online that gave me room to write everything I wanted.<\/p>\n3. \u00a0Print out extra of each\u00a0document.<\/strong> \u00a0Instructions on how to care for my four month old change every day, and so does the food inventory in our home.<\/p>\nPrint outs<\/h3>\n

I went to the store and purchased some snacks for the babysitter because we don’t keep many snacks around our house.\u00a0 Once you have a regular babysitter you can ask them what they like to snack on and keep it in a separate bin in the pantry.<\/p>\n
